Manta Ray Anchors

O.D.S. Marine was involved in a 'first-of-it's-kind' job installing drive-in earth anchors through the ice. The installation rig we designed and built for the work was unique according to the anchor manufacturer in Colorado.

The Manta Ray anchors we installed are a new product based on an old idea. This particular application was to restrain floating docks at a marina, the first such installation in Canada. The anchors are so inexpensive and so small and have such high holding power, even in poor soil, that the applications are almost endless.

COMPARE

  1. a 5,000 lb. concrete block loaded and unloaded with a crane, transported by flatbed and set into place.
  2. a 5,000 lb. capacity Manta-Ray anchor that you can hold in one hand, take to a site with it's installation gear in the back of a pickup truck and install in ten minutes. Add to that the fact that if it is a water installation the concrete block is going to lose about a third of it's effective weight from buoyancy as soon as it hits the water.

We have the Specialized installation equipment and technology!
